The New Age Lynching Of Herman Cain

I am at peace with God,myself and my wife..and she is at peace with me

Herman Cain made this statement yesterday in Atlanta as he announced he was suspending his campaign for the GOP nomination.

Cain decided to enter this race because he was fed up with what he had seen coming from politicians over the past forty years. It was the fact that he wasn’t a part of the beltway insiders that attracted me. One of my favorite things I’ve heard from Cain is his statement about the politicians and “how has that been working for you.”

The establishment pundits were quick to point out that he had held no political office, wasn’t ready to take on such a job as being president. Just as it was clear that our media, like The Fox News Channel, thought it was their place to dictate to us who to support. Their constant barrage of stories on Romney made it clear who their choice was and viewer be damned if you didn’t agree. Much to their dismay it is we the people who make this decision. Fox’s mission statement of being “fair and balanced” has been anything but.

It was after winning the Florida Straw poll that Cain’s message and his “Cain Train” soon began picking up steam. Raising Cain’s name recognition, enabling for his message to resonate with the people brought him from the bottom of the polls to leading in most.

Once leading in the polls this only brought about the proverbial magnifying glass that so many candidates are exposed too. It was shortly after this that Gloria Alred jumped at the chance to champion the cause to destroy a man’s character and possibly his chances of winning the GOP nomination. Allred represented Sharon Bialek and soon after several more women decided they too would follow suit and make baseless, unfounded accusations as well. All claims were vehemently denied by Cain.

I expected that the liberals would be quick to attack Cain, however I wasn’t ready for the negative, often rude, crude tweets that I read on twitter. There is no perfect candidate and everyone has a right to support the ones who mirror their personal views. This is what makes America great, that we actually have the freedom to express ourselves with out reprecussions.

With the many accusations coming out against Cain many women didn’t buy into the sleazy baseless accusations and formed Women for Herman Cain to show support not only to himself but that of his wife of forty-three years.

I do believe that it was the latest woman, Ginger White that was the final straw in bringing Cain to suspend his campaign.

Cain has made it clear from the very start that he was doing this for his family, to be able to give his grandchildren a better world in which to grow up in. My heart and prayers go out to the Cain family for all they have had to endure with regards to the egregious, slanderous assaults on a husband of forty-three years and a father of two children and the grandfather of three.

This morning while listening to the pundits on Fox, I heard one saying that suspending the campaign doesn’t necessarily take him out of the race. Money can still be donated, support doesn’t necessarily have to go to another candidate like so many are speculating. This however is for Cain and his family to decide.

I do know that we haven’t seen the last of Herman Cain. I will be keeping him and his family in my prayers as they attempt to regain some normalcy to their lives. It is time for those of us who idenify with true conservative values not to act like many of our counterparts on the left by lashing out with rude and crude comments against those still in the running for the nomination. Doing so we only give fuel to the fire of the left and shows that we are weak maybe even frail in our attempt to make Barack Obama a one term president.

Like I said, Cain may have suspended the campaign for now but he is certainly not going away!

Life’s challenges, changes, journeys …A New Beginning

First I want to apologize for my obvious slacking in updating this blog! Life as you all can attest to has been full of one challenge or another! Work has been demanding with the many changes we’ve seen with the onslaught of ObamaCare coming about soon. I work in a Catholic hospital who is in the process of merging with several hospitals in the area and we will soon be the largest healthcare provider in the state of Kentucky. Many changes are coming to fruition as a result of this attempt of Obama’s to mandate how we receive our healthcare & how those of us in healthcare do our jobs. But I digress!

Another reason for my lack of writing outside of my hectic schedule is that I have like many across the country have fallen victim to “Obamanomics.” My house which I use to refer to as my home is slowly but surely about to collapse. Major structural damage to the tune of close to thirty thousand dollars to repair. I’ve worked hard to make sure my credit rating is in great shape and was approved for a loan to make the repairs as needed, but, thanks to the flailing housing market we now have the house did not appraise for the extra money needed to make my house once again my home. Luckily the contractor I am working with is a strong conservative who is willing to cut some of his cost to help me but have not heard back from the bank to see if it will go through. If not I have no choice but to walk away from this house, destroying my hard work at keeping my credit in great standing and will be moving.

This blog is under construction as I have moved to a hosted site, so there will be lots of changes to the format as I restructure and add new plugins and widgets. So I hope that those of you who have subscribed or are new readers will remain with me through this period of “changing.” I am still working out some of the kinks from the move so be patient!

So much has transpired in the past few months that I’ve so wanted to opine about and I promise the opining will be forthcoming for all to read! I really appreciate all the support I’ve had with this blog since it’s creation almost three years ago, when Obama came on the scene. It was my desire then as it is now that we end his reign of tyranny and send him packing in 2012. God Bless you all, God Bless America…

Sincerely, the Patriotic Nurse

Herman Cain …… Delivers

“We are free because “In God Is Our Trust.”

Thursday evening Fox News and Google sponsored the latest GOP Presidential debate. Going into the debate Rick Perry and Mitt Romney being considered “front runners” by the media failed to resonate with the voters of Florida; it was Herman Cain the man with his “common sense solutions” who was the real stand out in this debate. Staying true to form the media is vehemently trying to make one excuse after another as to why Cain upset the “proverbial apple cart.” Sunday morning was no different as watching Fox and Friends weekend crew’s prelude to the interview with Cain was doubting his strong finish in the straw poll that was conducted Saturday afternoon. Cain as usual defended his win saying that his message was resonating with the voters and that his name ID is only going to escalate. Watch the interview, near the end Cain was questioned about the SNL spoof of his speech the night before. Cain never failing to give in to criticism laughed and is now going to use the skit to his advantage!

Cain”s “Cain train” is definitely gaining momentum. As I have written before it is Cain’s ability to connect with people is that he differs greatly from the other candidates that he shared the stage with. Being a man of the people who speaks about restoring America not using the regurgitated terms like, “what I can do”…nor did we hear a lot about the nauseous “I, I, I or me, me, me”..it was “what WE can do together.” This is what Americans now want, someone who is willing to listen to the people and work with us to restore America back to the glory she once was before she was circumvented by the current administration. Below is a video from the debate, for me it captures a true Herman Cain moment, however reader beware… the beginning is Gary Johnson and his “borrowed” joke about the shovel ready jobs…Cain is very impressive and it’s clear and evident as to why he won the Florida Straw poll.

Obama can’t create jobs but he can create “ATTACK WATCH”

Since November of 2008 we’ve seen many photographs of the President and his infamous Presidential “smug.” One has to wonder the reason for his blatant arrogance when his poll numbers continue to plummet and his leadership abilities have been in question. Apparently Obama only reads the desperate letters he often refers to reading but doesn’t feel the need to read bills but insist they be passed. His desperation has taken an all new low with the creation of a twitter page entitled @attackwatch and has launched a website by the same name; attack watch.

See a new attack on the President or his record? Use #attackwatch to report it and discuss attacks as they happen.

A screen shot of the above tweet had been copied and saved however uploading it for this post was prohibited due to it being a “security issue.” uh interesting!!!

Apparently Obama who touted being a Constitutional scholar must have missed the lecture regarding the first amendment ensuring Americans of the right to have freedom of speech. Americans have voiced their opinions regarding Presidential actions as far back as I can remember. Bush for years was raked over the coals by members of both parties, however, he accepted it and moved on. This administration is grasping for straws; focusing on “attacks” of his policies or the lack there of instead of focusing on the real issues facing Americans now in 2011 and very well could impact this nation for years to come.

Conservatives on twitter have turned this lame attempt of the administration back on them using the hash-tag #attackwatch on all tweets regarding the POTUS and his failed policies, ideology and socialist agenda. This most likely will fall by the way side much like their “flagging” attempts a few years ago. In fact this blog has been “flagged” there is a widget on the side bar declaring the fact but of course it was the Patriotic Nurse who actually flagged it out of fun!! Please enjoy the video below and see our government “at work.”

2012 Can’t get here any sooner!

We Must Never Forget….whether it be ten years or a hundred…Never Forget

“Today, we gather to be reassured that God hears the lamenting and bitter weeping of Mother America because so many of her children are no more. Let us now seek that assurance in prayer for the healing of our grief stricken hearts, for the souls and sacred memory of those who have been lost. Let us also pray for divine wisdom as our leaders consider the necessary actions for national security, wisdom of the grace of God that as we act, we not become the evil we deplore.”

~Never Forget~

Remembering 9-11 and The Children

“Now, we have inscribed a new memory alongside those others. It’s a memory of tragedy and shock, of loss and mourning. But not only of loss and mourning. It’s also a memory of bravery and self-sacrifice, and the love that lays down its life for a friend–even a friend whose name it never knew. “
- President George W. Bush, December 11, 2001

Ten years ago the people of New York and Washington were waking up to start their day. Parents bustling about preparing to go to work; early September and the children were now getting settled back into the routine of returning to school. However at 8:46 a.m. and again at 9:03 a.m. the lives of approximately 3051 children changed forever. Earlier that morning nineteen hijackers had taken control of four commercial airliners destined to fly west to California. The terrorist chose flights scheduled to fly long distances for they were heavily fueled. The events of that day forever changed America; forever changing the lives of these children who lost a parent.

Losing a parent is never an easy experience for anyone to go through regardless of one’s age. Losing a parent tragically such as on this day can have lasting impact on a child so young as to not fully understand or able to accept the fact that their Moms or Dads will never be coming home again. Unlike adults, children regrieve at each developmental stage and with each stage comes new questions and often new sorrows. Recently CBS aired a special of the children of 9-11 and it was this special that is the inspiration of this post.

One young man who was around eleven at the time who had lost his Mother that day life was suddenly turned upside down. Leaving him confused as to why, angry that the one person who loved him unconditionally was never going to walk back in the door again, never going to be there to offer words of encouragement or be there to guide him when he drifted off the path, loosing his way. Soon after that day he was up rooted from the surrounding in which he had grown up and moved to the town in which his Mother had grown up to be cared for by family. Grief is individualized, meaning it has many stages such as confusion, emptiness, shock and yes…anger. It was anger that eventually overcame this young man as he rebelled, got in fights at school, started hanging out with gang members, selling drugs his life in utter turmoil trying to come to terms with the grief he was experiencing. Fortunately for this young man as he was able to over come the anger and vowed to live his life to honor the memory of his Mother. He is now married and has a family of his own and plans to plant a garden on the site of his Mother’s childhood home to honor her memory.

It was for another young man the memories of his Dad that made him withdraw into himself. Bottling up his emotions. He felt that his grief was far greater than that of his younger sister because she was so young at the time and had little recollection of the man they knew as Dad. He found solace in going to a camp especially for the children of 9-11, it was there that he could find others who shared the same feelings as he and he stated that he never wanted to leave the camp and that when he got older he wanted to work there. He felt a peace that was indescribable.

Families of September 11 was founded in October of 2001 by families impacted by the terrorist attacks. Their mission is:

To raise awareness about the effects of terrorism and public trauma and to champion domestic and international policies that prevent, protect against, and to respond to terrorist acts.

They offer a variety of services which include; support resources for children, wellness, health issues. To donate to this group you can go here

We must never forget this day that changed America, a day that changed the lives of so many of our young. It is our duty to remember the men and women who lost their lives on that day that started out like any other day before. The firemen who selfishly made their up the towers to attempt to save lives, the emergency first responders who bravely sacrificed their life to make a difference to someone in which they didn’t even know their names only brings to mind the word, hero…It is how so many of the children who lost a parent that day lovingly remember their loved one. Let’s once again be a nation that turns to God and look for his comfort to help us through the trying times in which we live. The world changed on September 11, 2001…we must never forget.

God Bless America

Herman Cain a Man of Solutions

“solutions” instead of “rhetoric”

It appears that Herman Cain is one of the few who are actually speaking about solutions to the many problems this nation is faced with. He made this statement while Governors Perry and Romney were discussing reforming or eliminating social security. Solutions are what is needed now not the rhetoric played out via soundbytes and one minute responses during a debate that is clearly trying to obscure the outcomes of said debates.

Cain’s vision for economic growth:

• The natural state of our economy is prosperity.
Freedom ensures that.
• We must get the government off our backs, out of our
pockets and out of our way in order to return to prosperity
• Policy uncertainty is killing the economy

Cain further outlines his principles guiding the economy:

1. Production drives the economy, not spending
• We can not spend our way to prosperity
• Government spending IS taxation
• Government spending is like taking a bucket of water from
the deep end of the pool, pouring it in the shallow end.
Then they HOPE that the water level will CHANGE.
2. Risk taking drives growth
• Business formation and job creation are dependent on
entrepreneurs taking risks
• Investors who fund those entrepreneurs likewise take risks
3. Measurements must be dependable
• A dollar must always be a dollar just as an hour is always
60 minutes
• Sound money is crucial for prosperity

Cain’s message is always about “We the people” and not the usual mundane accolades of the others as they tout “me, me, I, I.” America can’t wait for 2012, we need growth NOW.

Damn the media…there are eight candidates not two

You can clearly see that there are eight GOP candidates vying to get the nomination to face off with Obama for the 2012 presidential election. However, the media and their inept attempts to control the outcome of this most crucial election of our lifetime is an epic failure. It is not for them to decide, their responsibility to the voters are to present each candidate equally for the voter’s to decide. Yet day after day we are bombarded with soundbytes, news alerts declaring this one or that one to be the front runner. Like the current administration the media is guilty of usurping our rights as voters to decide the outcomes. At last night’s debate from the Ronald Reagan library it seemed that it wasn’t a debate of ALL the candidates but of that of Perry and Romney. Most questions were fielded to these two men while the remaining were left to fend for themselves to be heard and have their views brought forth to the voters. For example, Perry had 15:20 of air time while Cain (who received several rounds of applause) had only 5:45. Each candidate should be given equal time to discuss these issues without the panel and or moderators placating to the perceived front runners of their choosing. We have another debate coming up September 22nd, hosted by Fox News and Google, it is imperative that each candidate be heard on all the issues to enable the American voter to make an objective decision who to support. After all this nation was founded upon the premise that the government was founded by the people for the people. I say it’s time for the voters to stand up and speak out demanding the media to provide the medium for us to make these decisions without them drumming their subliminal messages into our subconscious.

Bloomberg….You can’t ban God from Attending the Memorial

For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Mayor Bloomberg may be banning religion at the 9/11 Memorial but he cannot ban God from attending! I understand that this isn’t a time for political speeches but to refuse to allow clergy from participating is beyond comprehension. Is he not aware that it was God that a nation turned to, to get through this most tragic time in our nation’s history? Isn’t it time for him to put his secularist beliefs aside, after all, isn’t this about the families who lost loved ones that day?

How ironic that Bloomberg supported the rights of Muslim’s to build Park51 which is just a few blocks from the site. Claiming that they have a “right” to build there. The Church Report quoted Rudy Washington, former Deputy Mayor to Rudy Giuliani as saying, “This is America, and to have a memorial service where there’s no prayer, this appears to be insanity to me.”

Pray for America

“Obama’s Weak Leadership and Wrong Direction” Herman Cain

Forget President Obama’s 40 percent (and still falling) approval rating. That just means that less than 45 percent of those surveyed have no clue about the direction of the country. Or, those same people support the president’s weakening of America. And please spare me the worn-out excuses that it was Bush’s fault, or things are bad because it was worse than he thought.

Consider the facts:

President Obama ended the Space Shuttle program as of two weeks ago when the last shuttle returned safely from its mission. We will now have to thumb a ride from the Russians if we want to get to the Space Station, and it will cost us dearly. John F. Kennedy’s vision of our leadership in space technology and exploration will soon be a national nightmare. We will now be a follower instead of a leader.

When President Obama made the decision to terminate the missile defense system being built in Turkey, he made it easier for nations like Iran to attack our friends like Israel with nuclear weapons. In talking with a ballistic missile defense system expert recently, I was told that we could have enhanced our overall missile defense systems capability by upgrading our sea-based defense systems technology for a relatively small investment. The Obama Administration said no to the expenditure even though, as a result, the world is not safer.

And now that the “surge” in Afghanistan is working according to General David Petraeus and others, the president chose to withdraw about one-third of the troops over the next year. That means the remaining two-thirds will be at a disadvantage in fighting the remaining enemy. The enemy did not announce that they will reduce their efforts to try to kill our soldiers by one-third.

The U.S. involvement in Libya has deteriorated into a debacle. The objective was not clear. The exit strategy is not clear. But the fact that we are shouldering the biggest share of the costs in this war is real clear. That’s not leadership.

Instead of moving toward energy independence, the president has made decisions that would make us more energy-dependent. An extended unnecessary moratorium on drilling in the Gulf of Mexico after the oil-spill crisis, and telling Brazil we will be their best customers for their oil with our money, does not convey strength.

America should and can be its own best customer for energy because we have the natural resources to do so. We just lack the will and leadership to do so.

We should not be surprised that this same weak leadership has allowed the debt ceiling situation to become a crisis. It could have been avoided, as I discussed last week. But as Speaker John Boehner put it, the president’s solution to the debt crisis is to give him a blank check.

Once again, in my grandfather’s vernacular, “We ain’t stupid!”

Our sluggish economy is our biggest crisis after national security. The business sector is the engine of economic growth. But the Obama Administration has done nothing to fuel the engine. It has only loaded costly legislation and programs in the caboose of our economy. Just look at the most recently announced GDP growth rate of 1.3 percent for the 2nd quarter of this year, following a revised 1st quarter growth rate of 0.4 percent. This is simply pathetic – but predictable.

Because if there’s no fuel in the engine then there is no economic growth.

It’s not rocket science. It’s common sense.

The president and his liberal allies continue to play the class warfare card by saying the rich should pay more in taxes, and that big corporations should give up some tax incentives to solve our economic and debt crisis. That’s just hogwash!

Taxing the rich and big corporations more will not solve the problem. A president who can lead and understands business and the economy would solve the problem.

Every time I hear about the latest unemployment statistics, it breaks my heart for those who want to work and can’t find work. And as I told Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday recently, I couldn’t care less about how much people like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates pay in taxes. I care more about the nearly 15 million people who can’t find a job that they are capable of doing because this economy is stalled, while this president just gives another speech.

Ending the shuttle program, weakening our ballistic missile defense systems, the retreat in Afghanistan, the debacle in Libya, the energy crisis, the spending and debt crisis, our anemic economic growth, and the painful unemployment rate are the results of weak leadership and failed policies.

America! We have a problem and it’s getting worse.

The facts are clear. We’re on the wrong track.
