When the Media is Absent, We The People Will Remember Our Troops

Today being Monday I thought I’d renew a tradition I had started a few years ago. As most of you on Twitter knows on Monday we pay special tribute to our men and women serving our country in various branches of our Military. I received an email yesterday that rekindled my desire for another tribute to our troops. It spoke volumes of how as we as a society have digressed. I ask each of you that reads the names of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice; that you remember them and their families in your thoughts and prayers…The email:

GOD BLESS AMERICA With regret…

Whitney Houston 48, a star who may have died of a drug overdose

Charlie Sheen is 45 and his story is all over the news because he is a substance abuser, an adulterer, seually promiscuous and obnoxious.

Lindsay Lohan is 24 and her story is all over the news because she is a celebrity drug addict and thief.

Something as frivolous as Kim Kardashian’s stupid wedding [and short-lived marriage] was shoved down our throats, while……..

Are all Marines that gave their lives last month for you. There is no media for them; not even a mention of their name.

So today as we begin our work week and life continues to challenge us in every way possible…take time out to say thank you to a soldier..a veteran…For we owe each and every one of them so much more than we can ever repay…

#SOT ..Supporting Our Troops…it’s the American tradition…

Veterans Day 2009~Freedom

ars_SupportOurTroops_Lg A heartfelt word of thanks to the many men and women serving our Military today and days gone past. Freedom is not free and as we’ve witnessed the past several weeks our Freedom and way of life continues to be attacked. Take time today to remember the sacrifices that have been made and give thanks to our men and women when you see them in uniform. Today they are fighting a war like none before them, for the enemy wears no uniform, represents no country. God Bless you all and a nation stands strong with you today and always……..

Our Military…The Best of the Best………..

ars_SupportOurTroops_Lg Today as we approach the anniversary the tragic events of September 11, 2001, it makes my heart swell with pride knowing that we have the best of the best protecting us as they fight to keep us free. I am proud to be an American and I too, would gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. I cannot forget those that gave up their lives for us to have the freedoms we have today. A Patriotic Nurse will be in Washington this weekend, attending the March to take back our country…the evening of the 11th, we will be visiting the Walter Reed Army hospital to personally be able to give thanks to the many that have served our nation so proudly. They are true heroes and we owe a huge debt to our military for their courageous service. So as we remember and honor those who perished that day eight years ago, let us remember in prayers our soldiers who continues to sacrifice and fight for the very freedom and rights we sometimes take for granted. God Bless our Military and May God Bless the USA…………………………………………………………….
